KL-A167 + cisplatin + gemcitabine is a combination regimen consisting of KL-A167 (tagitanlimab), cisplatin, and gemcitabine, primarily indicated for the treatment of recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma. KL-A167 is a fully humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), designed to inhibit the PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint pathway and restore anti-tumor immunity. When used in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agents cisplatin (a platinum-based DNA crosslinking agent) and gemcitabine (a nucleoside analog antimetabolite), the regimen provides immunotherapeutic and cytotoxic mechanisms to treat cancer. Clinical trial and regulatory data show this specific combination is approved by Chinese regulatory authorities for recurrent/metastatic nasopharyngeal cancer[5].
