Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a **combination regimen** consisting of klodronate (also known as clodronate) and Kliogest. Klodronate is a **bisphosphonate** used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis and bone metastases by inhibiting bone resorption. Kliogest is a **continuous combined hormone replacement therapy (HRT)** tablet containing estradiol (an estrogen) and norethisterone acetate (a progestagen). Kliogest is indicated for relief of postmenopausal symptoms and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women with an intact uterus. The estrogen component alleviates menopausal symptoms and prevents bone loss, while the progestagen component protects the endometrium from hyperplasia due to unopposed estrogen[1][3][4][7].
