Overview

KM257 + carboplatin + paclitaxel is a combination chemotherapy regimen under investigation for the treatment of advanced HER2-positive or HER2-expressing solid tumors. KM257 is a bispecific antibody targeting HER2 (Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2) and acts as an antagonist. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that causes DNA crosslinking, leading to cell death, while paclitaxel is a taxane-class chemotherapy drug that stabilizes microtubules, thus blocking cell division and inducing apoptosis. This combination leverages targeted therapy (KM257) with cytotoxic chemotherapy (carboplatin and paclitaxel) for enhanced antitumor efficacy[1][4][2][3].
