KS101 (Klotho Sciences, Inc.)

KS101 (also referred to as KS101-AD) is a therapeutic candidate being developed by Klotho Sciences Australia for the treatment of Alzheimer's Disease. It is designed as a Klotho-targeted therapy, aiming to leverage the neuroprotective and longevity-associated properties of the Klotho protein. Klotho is a pleiotropic protein primarily expressed in the kidney and brain, where it plays a critical role in maintaining cognitive health, enhancing synaptic plasticity, and protecting neurons from oxidative stress and neuroinflammation. Research has shown that Klotho levels naturally decline with age and are significantly reduced in patients with Alzheimer's Disease. KS101 is intended to restore or enhance Klotho signaling to mitigate neurodegeneration and improve cognitive function. The asset is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
