Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KS101 + KS104 is a combination of two small-molecule modulators targeting the Klotho protein, currently under development by Klotho Sciences. The Klotho protein is a pleiotropic protein primarily expressed in the kidneys and brain, functioning as a coreceptor for fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) and acting as a circulating hormone with anti-aging, anti-oxidative, and anti-inflammatory properties. This specific combination therapy is being advanced for the treatment of osteoarthritis and conditions associated with old age. By modulating Klotho activity, the drug aims to mitigate the pathological processes associated with aging and joint degradation. It is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
