**l-Arg@HCuSNPs-PEG-RGD**, abbreviated **AHPR**, is a preclinical, near-infrared-responsive copper sulfide nanoparticle nanotherapeutic investigated for **triple-negative breast cancer**. It consists of nitric-oxide-donor l-arginine loaded into hollow mesoporous copper sulfide nanoparticles and surface-functionalized with PEG and an RGD tumor-targeting peptide. Upon near-infrared laser irradiation, the construct generates photothermal heating, releases copper ions and nitric oxide, and promotes reactive oxygen species and reactive nitrogen species production, including peroxynitrite formation. These effects are intended to induce cuproptosis and immunogenic cell death, remodel the tumor immune microenvironment, and enhance antitumor immune responses.
