Overview

LabVax 3(22)-23 is an experimental therapeutic cancer vaccine composed of four synthetic peptides derived from the labyrinthin (LAB) protein. Labyrinthin is a 40 kDa tumor-specific neoantigen that is selectively expressed on the surface of most adenocarcinoma cells (including lung, colon, and ovarian) but is notably absent from normal tissues. The vaccine is designed to stimulate both B-cell and T-cell mediated immune responses specifically against labyrinthin-positive malignant cells. In clinical development, it is typically administered intradermally alongside sargramostim (GM-CSF) as an adjuvant to enhance immunogenicity. Current Phase 1/2 research is evaluating its efficacy both as a monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors such as pembrolizumab for patients with advanced or metastatic adenocarcinomas.
