Overview

This is a combination of two agents: - **Lactated Ringer's** is an intravenous solution containing sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, and calcium chloride in water. It is used to replace fluids and electrolytes in patients with low blood volume or low blood pressure and acts as an alkalinizing agent by increasing the body's pH[3][5]. - **Ofloxacin** is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. It is used to treat various infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin infections, soft tissue infections, urethral/cervical gonorrhea[7][8]. There are no known fixed-dose commercial products combining these two agents; this entry refers to their co-administration or admixture.
