Overview
Lactium + ETAS, marketed under the brand name No Stress Flash (NSF), is a nutraceutical combination product developed by NMC Lab SAS for the management of acute situational stress. The product contains two primary active ingredients: Lactium, a milk protein hydrolysate containing the bioactive peptide alpha-casozepine, and ETAS (Enzyme-Treated Asparagus extract). Lactium acts as a positive allosteric modulator of GABA-A receptors, exerting anxiolytic effects similar to benzodiazepines but without side effects like sedation or dependency. ETAS is a standardized extract of green asparagus that induces the production of Heat Shock Protein 70 (HSP70), which protects cells from stress-induced damage and improves stress resistance. The combination is supplemented with B vitamins and magnesium to support cognitive and nervous system function. A Phase III clinical trial (NMC-2017/TSST) conducted in Germany using the Trier Social Stress Test (TSST) demonstrated that the supplement significantly reduces salivary cortisol levels and improves psychological perceptions of stress and anxiety.
