Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This probiotic combination consists of three specific bacterial strains: *Lactobacillus salivarius* subsp. *salicinius* AP-32, *Bifidobacterium animalis* subsp. *lactis* CP-9, and *Lactobacillus paracasei* ET-66. Developed by Bioflag Biotech, the product is formulated as oral tablets or capsules containing live bacterial cultures. The strains were originally isolated from healthy human sources, including the gut and breast milk. The combination is primarily studied for its ability to enhance oral health and mucosal immunity. Its mechanism involves modulating the oral microbiome by increasing beneficial *Lactobacillus* and *Bifidobacterium* populations while reducing levels of the cariogenic pathogen *Streptococcus mutans*. Furthermore, it has been shown to elevate salivary immunoglobulin A (IgA) concentrations, thereby strengthening the local immune response in the oral cavity.
