Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PE0301 is a postbiotic formulation developed by Glac Biotech Co., Ltd., consisting of metabolites and inanimate bacterial cells from three specific lactic acid bacteria strains: *Lactobacillus salivarius* subsp. *salicinius* AP-32, *Lactobacillus paracasei* ET-66, and *Lactobacillus plantarum* LPL28. Unlike traditional probiotics, PE0301 is a '3-Mix fermentation postbiotic powder' (FPP) containing non-viable cells and a cell-free fermentation supernatant rich in lactic acid and polysaccharides. It is primarily designed to enhance oral health and salivary immunity by exhibiting antibacterial activity and stimulating the production of salivary immunoglobulin A (sIgA). Clinical studies have also demonstrated its ability to modulate the oral and gut microbiota, increasing levels of beneficial *Lactobacillus* and *Bifidobacterium* species, while providing gastroprotective effects in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
