Overview

**Lactoferrin + probiotics** is a combination dietary supplement designed to support gastrointestinal and immune health. Lactoferrin is a multifunctional iron-binding glycoprotein found in milk and other secretions, known for its antimicrobial and immunomodulatory activities. Probiotics are live microorganisms, typically species of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, that provide health benefits by supporting or restoring species diversity in the gut microbiota. Together, these agents are used primarily to promote gut health, improve digestion, prevent and manage diarrhea, relieve flatulence and bloating, support immune function, and may prevent or manage gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in premature infants. The combination may offer additive or synergistic benefits, especially in reducing the risk of gastrointestinal infections and sepsis by modulating gut flora and enhancing mucosal immunity[1][3][4].
