LAE102 + tirzepatide is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated for the treatment of obesity. Tirzepatide, developed by Eli Lilly, is a dual **glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP)** and **glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1)** receptor agonist that promotes weight loss through appetite suppression and improved metabolic control. The combination aims to achieve "high-quality weight loss" by maximizing fat reduction while preserving or increasing lean muscle mass. It is currently being studied in a Phase 2 clinical trial sponsored by Shanghai Zhongshan Hospital.
