Overview

This combination involves **lenalidomide**, a structural analogue of thalidomide used in treating multiple myeloma; **dexamethasone**, a corticosteroid; and **MEDI-551**, a monoclonal antibody targeting CD19. Lenalidomide works by modulating the immune system and inhibiting angiogenesis. Dexamethasone is used for its anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. MEDI-551 depletes B cells by targeting CD19, which may be beneficial in reducing cancer stem cells in multiple myeloma.
