Lenalidomide + MEK inhibitor is a combination therapy consisting of lenalidomide, an immunomodulatory agent, and a MEK inhibitor (such as trametinib). Lenalidomide acts by modulating the immune system and directly inhibiting tumor cell proliferation through induction of apoptosis. MEK inhibitors target the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway by inhibiting the activity of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MEK), thereby blocking downstream signaling involved in cell growth and survival. This combination has been reported in case studies to show efficacy in treatment-resistant conditions such as xanthoma disseminatum, where both agents may act synergistically to suppress disease progression[1][2][3].
