Overview

LEO 29102 + calcipotriol is a topical combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. LEO 29102 is a small molecule phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor developed by Leo Pharma, designed to reduce inflammation by inhibiting PDE4 activity in immune cells[1][3][5]. Calcipotriol (also known as calcipotriene) is a synthetic vitamin D3 analog that modulates keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation, inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokine expression, and shifts T-cell responses from Th1/Th17 toward Th2/Treg phenotypes[2][6][8]. The combination aims to leverage the complementary anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of both agents for enhanced efficacy in plaque psoriasis.
