Overview
Navadex Vet is an oral veterinary anthelmintic combination bolus developed and manufactured by Navana Pharmaceuticals. It contains triclabendazole, a benzimidazole derivative, and levamisole hydrochloride, an imidazothiazole derivative. Triclabendazole is highly effective against both mature and immature liver flukes (*Fasciola hepatica* and *Fasciola gigantica*) by binding to parasite beta-tubulin and disrupting microtubule polymerization. Levamisole hydrochloride acts as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist, causing depolarizing neuromuscular blockade and spastic paralysis in nematodes (roundworms and lungworms). Navadex Vet is approved and marketed in Bangladesh for the treatment and control of liver fluke and roundworm infestations in livestock such as cattle, sheep, and goats.
