Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of two medications: levocetirizine, a second-generation H1-receptor antagonist (antihistamine), and tranexamic acid, an antifibrinolytic agent. Levocetirizine works by selectively inhibiting histamine H1 receptors, preventing histamine from causing allergic symptoms. Tranexamic acid competitively inhibits the activation of plasminogen to plasmin, preventing the breakdown of blood clots and reducing bleeding. This combination has been studied for treating chronic spontaneous urticaria.
