Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zingo is a needle-free, rapid-onset local anesthetic system containing lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate. It is specifically designed to reduce pain associated with venipuncture and peripheral venous cannulation, particularly in pediatric populations. The system utilizes a pressurized helium gas delivery mechanism to accelerate sterile lidocaine powder particles into the epidermis and dermis. Once delivered, the lidocaine dissolves and provides local anesthesia within 1 to 3 minutes. Lee's Pharmaceutical Limited licensed the rights to develop and commercialize Zingo in Greater China, where it has been evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials for use in children aged 3-12 years.
