Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of the local anesthetic lidocaine and the inhalational anesthetic sevoflurane. Intravenous lidocaine is used as an adjunct to sevoflurane anesthesia to reduce sevoflurane requirements, suppress airway reflexes, improve hemodynamic stability, and enhance recovery profiles. Lidocaine decreases the minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) of sevoflurane by approximately 15-21%, allowing for lower sevoflurane dosing while maintaining adequate anesthesia depth.
