Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill) is a classical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula marketed by Henan Bainian Kangxin Pharmaceutical. The formulation is composed of six herbal ingredients: *Radix Rehmanniae praeparata* (Shu Di Huang), *Fructus Corni* (Shan Zhu Yu), *Rhizoma Dioscoreae* (Shan Yao), *Rhizoma Alismatis* (Ze Xie), *Cortex Moutan* (Mu Dan Pi), and *Poria Cocos* (Fu Ling), typically prepared in an 8:4:4:3:3:3 ratio. In TCM theory, it is used to nourish kidney-yin and supplement kidney essence. It is indicated for symptoms associated with kidney-yin deficiency, including dizziness, tinnitus, soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, night sweats, and 'steaming bone' sensations. As a multi-component herbal product, it functions through the synergistic effects of various phytochemicals rather than a single molecular target.
