Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ding Jun Sheng is a live biotherapeutic product consisting of live *Lactobacillus crispatus* (strain DM8909) formulated as a vaginal capsule. Developed and manufactured by Inner Mongolia Shuangqi Pharmaceutical, it is designed to restore the vaginal microecological balance. The lactobacilli in the capsule produce lactic acid and hydrogen peroxide, which lower the vaginal pH and inhibit the growth of anaerobic bacteria and other pathogens. It is clinically approved in China for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis and the restoration of vaginal flora after antibiotic or antifungal therapy. Beyond its approved indications, Ding Jun Sheng is currently being investigated in clinical trials, such as those sponsored by Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, for its potential to improve outcomes in women with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) by optimizing the reproductive tract microbiome prior to embryo transfer.
