lopinavir + ritonavir + maraviroc

This is a combination therapy consisting of three antiretroviral medications used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection. Lopinavir and ritonavir form a fixed-dose combination where lopinavir is the primary active protease inhibitor, while ritonavir serves as a pharmacokinetic enhancer (booster) that inhibits the metabolism of lopinavir, thereby increasing its plasma concentrations and efficacy. Maraviroc is a C-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5) antagonist that works by blocking the CCR5 co-receptor on CD4 cells, preventing HIV from binding to these cells. When used together, these medications target different stages of the HIV life cycle to effectively suppress viral replication.
