**LTM1201LD** is an investigational oral combination of **lorcaserin** and **cholecalciferol** evaluated by Brigham and Women's Hospital for obstructive sleep apnea. Lorcaserin is a serotonin 2C receptor agonist intended to increase hypoglossal motor output and upper-airway dilator-muscle activity during sleep, while cholecalciferol is converted to active vitamin D metabolites that activate the vitamin D receptor, which is expressed in hypoglossal motor nucleus neurons. The combination was studied as a pre-sleep pharmacologic approach to reduce upper-airway collapsibility and obstructive sleep apnea severity.
