Overview

**LTX-315 + GV1001** is an experimental combination cancer immunotherapy, currently in clinical and preclinical study, that joins two investigational agents: - **LTX-315:** A synthetic, cationic, oncolytic peptide that acts by disrupting tumor cell membranes, causing necrotic cell death and release of damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs). This results in immunogenic cell death, inflammation, and the activation and recruitment of immune effectors, including dendritic cells and cytotoxic T cells to the tumor site. - **GV1001:** A 16-amino-acid peptide vaccine derived from human telomerase, designed to induce robust activation of both CD4+ and CD8+ T cells against telomerase-expressing tumor cells, acting as a cancer vaccine. The rationale for this combination is to use **LTX-315** to lyse tumor cells locally, release tumor antigens, and create an inflammatory microenvironment to enhance immune cell recruitment, while **GV1001** serves as a systemic vaccine to expand and direct a specific adaptive T cell response against telomerase-expressing cancers. The combination is being investigated for its potential to synergistically elicit effective local and systemic antitumor immune responses, particularly in solid tumors[1][2][4][7].
