Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lucitanib + nivolumab is an investigational combination therapy under clinical evaluation primarily for advanced and metastatic gynecological cancers. Lucitanib is an oral, small molecule, multi-tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting FGFR1/2/3, VEGFR1-3, and PDGFRα/β to inhibit tumor angiogenesis and cell proliferation. Nivolumab is a monoclonal antibody immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-1 (programmed death-1) to restore antitumor immunity. The combination aims to leverage antiangiogenic mechanisms with immune checkpoint blockade, seeking both direct antitumor and immunomodulatory effects, and is being studied for efficacy and safety in several advanced solid tumor subtypes, notably recurrent endometrial, cervical, ovarian, and clear-cell gynecologic cancers.
