Lutetium-177 labelled 6A10 antibody Fab fragment is a radioimmunotherapeutic agent consisting of a Fab fragment of the monoclonal antibody 6A10, which targets carbonic anhydrase XII (CA XII), conjugated to the beta-emitting radioisotope lutetium-177. Developed by the University Hospital Münster (Universitaetsklinikum Muenster), it is being investigated for the treatment of high-grade gliomas, including glioblastoma. The therapy is administered directly into the tumor resection cavity (intracavitary) following standard radiochemotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy. By targeting CA XII, an enzyme overexpressed in glioblastoma cells and associated with hypoxia and poor prognosis, the agent delivers localized ionizing radiation to residual tumor cells while minimizing systemic exposure.
