LV-SMENP-DC + antigen-specific CTLs is a combination cell therapy designed for cancer immunotherapy. The approach involves two main components: - **LV-SMENP-DC** refers to dendritic cells (DCs) that have been genetically modified using a lentiviral vector (LV) to express synthetic minigene epitopes of neoantigens and tumor-associated antigens (SMENP). These engineered DCs are used as potent antigen-presenting cells to prime the immune system. - **Antigen-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs)** are T cells that have been expanded ex vivo and specifically recognize tumor antigens presented by the DCs. The mechanism of action relies on the ability of dendritic cells to process and present tumor-derived antigens via major histocompatibility complex molecules, thereby activating CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes. These activated CTLs then target and destroy cancer cells expressing those specific antigens. This strategy aims to generate a robust, personalized anti-tumor immune response by combining targeted activation of both innate and adaptive immunity[1][2][5].
