Overview

LY3200327 is a recombinant fusion protein developed by Eli Lilly and Company that functions as a dual antagonist of B-cell activating factor (BAFF, also known as BLyS) and a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL). By binding to and neutralizing these two ligands, the drug inhibits the survival, maturation, and differentiation of B cells and plasma cells, which are central to the pathogenesis of various autoimmune diseases. LY3200327 was primarily investigated for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and primary Sjögren's syndrome. Clinical development reached Phase 2; however, Eli Lilly discontinued the program in 2023, removing it from their active pipeline.
