Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LYR-210 is an investigational, long-acting, drug-eluting nasal insert developed by Lyra Therapeutics for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). The product is designed to be administered in a simple, in-office procedure and provides sustained release of mometasone furoate, a potent corticosteroid, directly to the sinonasal mucosa for up to six months. LYR-210 utilizes the company's proprietary XTreo platform, which consists of a bioresorbable, mesh-like polymeric matrix that expands to fit the patient's anatomy. By providing continuous, localized anti-inflammatory therapy, LYR-210 aims to provide an alternative to daily nasal sprays or repeat surgical interventions for patients who remain symptomatic despite conventional medical management.
