Overview

LYT-200 + gemcitabine + nab-paclitaxel is an investigational combination regimen being tested in clinical trials for advanced/metastatic solid tumors, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. LYT-200 is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody developed to inhibit galectin-9, an immunosuppressive and pro-tumor molecule expressed in various cancers. Gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog chemotherapeutic (antimetabolite), and nab-paclitaxel is a nanoparticle albumin-bound formulation of the antimitotic agent paclitaxel. This combination aims to harness the direct anti-tumor effects of chemotherapy and the immune-modulating activity of LYT-200, which downregulates galectin-9, activates NK and T cells, and enhances immune-mediated tumor clearance.
