LYT-200 + venetoclax + azacitidine is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). - **LYT-200** is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody targeting galectin-9, a pro-tumor and immunosuppressive molecule. By binding galectin-9, LYT-200 aims to reduce immune suppression in the tumor microenvironment, promote immune-mediated clearance of malignant cells, and directly induce apoptosis and DNA damage in cancer cells. - **Venetoclax** is a selective BCL-2 inhibitor that promotes apoptosis in cancer cells by inhibiting the anti-apoptotic BCL-2 protein. - **Azacitidine** is a hypomethylating agent that incorporates into DNA and RNA, causing hypomethylation of DNA and direct cytotoxicity, which leads to cell death, particularly in abnormal hematopoietic cells. The combination is being studied in a Phase 1, dose-escalation clinical trial to determine safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with AML and high-risk MDS who are relapsed or refractory to prior therapies[1][2][4][6].
