Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MA-B2 + MO-B2 is a combined therapeutic and diagnostic (theranostic) program developed by MedPacto. MA-B2 is a humanized monoclonal antibody therapeutic designed to target BCL2-associated athanogene 2 (BAG2), a protein that is overexpressed and secreted into the blood in various aggressive cancers, particularly triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Extracellular BAG2 promotes tumor cell proliferation, metastasis, and chemoresistance by binding to cathepsin B (CTSB) and suppressing immune cell activity. MA-B2 works by blocking BAG2, thereby inhibiting cathepsin B-mediated metastasis and restoring immune system activity against the tumor. MO-B2 is a companion diagnostic ELISA kit designed to detect and measure BAG2 protein levels in the blood, enabling patient stratification, prognosis prediction, and monitoring of cancer metastasis and recurrence.
