MAGE-A1 A*02:01 TCR-T is an autologous T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy developed by Anocca. The therapy utilizes T cells that have been genetically modified to express a TCR specifically designed to recognize the Melanoma-associated antigen 1 (MAGE-A1) peptide when presented by the HLA-A*02:01 major histocompatibility complex. MAGE-A1 is a cancer-testis antigen that is highly expressed in various malignancies, including melanoma, breast cancer, and lung cancer, but has restricted expression in normal tissues, making it a suitable target for immunotherapy. By engineering a patient's own T cells to target this specific antigen-HLA complex, the therapy aims to induce a potent and selective cytotoxic immune response against tumor cells. It is currently being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of MAGE-A1-positive solid tumors.
