Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Maitongjun'an decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital for the treatment of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD). It is typically prescribed for patients exhibiting the TCM syndrome of phlegm-stasis mutual obstruction. The decoction aims to tonify Qi, resolve phlegm, and remove blood stasis. Clinical studies suggest it may improve cardiac function, reduce inflammatory markers (such as hs-CRP, IL-6, and TNF-α), and alleviate symptoms of angina pectoris by protecting the vascular endothelium and regulating lipid metabolism. It is primarily used as a hospital preparation within the developer's clinical network.
