Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The malaria vaccine (Advax adjuvanted) is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine candidate developed by Vaxine. It is designed to elicit protective antibody and T-cell responses against Plasmodium antigens to prevent malaria infection and disease. The vaccine utilizes Vaxine's proprietary Advax adjuvant, which is based on delta-inulin, a unique polysaccharide that enhances immune responses without the inflammatory side effects often associated with traditional adjuvants. Currently in preclinical development, the vaccine aims to provide a robust and durable immune response against malaria parasites.
