Mannan-conjugated polymerised Phleum pratense + Dactylis glomerata allergoid is a next-generation allergen immunotherapy (AIT) candidate developed by Inmunotek. It consists of pollen extracts from two grass species, Phleum pratense (Timothy grass) and Dactylis glomerata (Orchard grass), which are chemically modified (polymerized) to form allergoids. These allergoids are then conjugated to mannan, a polysaccharide that targets the mannose receptor (CD206) on dendritic cells. This targeted delivery is designed to enhance allergen uptake and promote the induction of regulatory T cells (Tregs) and a Th1 immune response, thereby reducing the Th2-mediated allergic response. The subcutaneous formulation is currently being evaluated in Phase II/III clinical trials for the treatment of grass pollen-induced allergic rhinitis and rhinoconjunctivitis.
