Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination antiretroviral therapy for HIV-1 infection consisting of maraviroc (a CCR5 antagonist), darunavir (a protease inhibitor), and ritonavir (a pharmacokinetic enhancer). This combination works by blocking HIV entry into cells and inhibiting viral replication. Pharmacokinetic studies show significant interactions, with darunavir/ritonavir increasing maraviroc exposure approximately 4-fold, requiring dose adjustment of maraviroc to 150 mg twice daily when used with darunavir/ritonavir.
