Overview

ProQuad + Infanrix hexa refers to the concomitant administration of two separate vaccines: ProQuad (a live attenuated measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella vaccine) and Infanrix hexa (a hexavalent vaccine containing diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, acellular pertussis antigens, recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen, inactivated poliovirus, and Haemophilus influenzae type b conjugate). This combination is typically studied as a booster regimen in children aged 12 to 23 months to provide simultaneous protection against ten infectious diseases. Clinical data indicates that the co-administration is safe and immunogenic, with no significant interference between the various antigenic components.
