Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The measles mumps rubella + hepatitis A vaccine is a combination vaccine designed to protect against four viral diseases: measles, mumps, rubella, and hepatitis A. Each component of the vaccine works by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against its respective virus, thereby providing immunity without causing disease. The MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) portion is highly effective at preventing these three diseases and their complications[1][2][7]. Hepatitis A vaccine similarly induces immunity against hepatitis A virus infection. This combination is primarily indicated for immunization in children but may also be used in adults who require protection from all four viruses.
