This refers to the co-administration of the Measles-Rubella (MR) combined vaccine and the live attenuated Japanese Encephalitis vaccine (LJEV), specifically the SA 14-14-2 strain. The MR vaccine contains live attenuated measles and rubella viruses, while the LJEV contains the live attenuated SA 14-14-2 strain of the Japanese encephalitis virus. This combination is evaluated for simultaneous administration in infants, typically at 8 months of age, as part of China's National Immunization Program. The goal of co-administration is to simplify the vaccination schedule and ensure early protection against measles, rubella, and Japanese encephalitis. Clinical studies conducted by the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention have demonstrated that simultaneous administration is safe and provides non-inferior immunogenicity compared to separate administration.
