Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**measles vaccine + MVA-mBN85B** is a prophylactic vaccine combination designed to induce immunity against measles virus infection. It pairs a standard live attenuated measles vaccine with MVA-mBN85B, a highly attenuated recombinant Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA-BN) viral vector expressing measles virus hemagglutinin (H), fusion (F), and nucleoprotein (N) antigens. Developed by Bavarian Nordic, MVA-mBN85B leverages the non-replicating nature of MVA-BN in human cells to safely elicit robust humoral and cellular immune responses, including neutralizing antibodies and T-cell responses, even in the presence of maternal antibodies or pre-existing immunity. It demonstrates superior immunogenicity compared to conventional measles vaccines in preclinical models and has been evaluated for safety and efficacy in pediatric populations aged 6 months to 6 years.[1][3][5]
