Overview

Mechanically Engineered Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Derived Exosomes (ME-UCMSC-Exo) is an investigational exosome-based biologic therapy developed by Tang-Du Hospital. These exosomes are harvested from umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) that have been subjected to biomechanical stress (mechanical preconditioning) during cell culture expansion. This engineering process is intended to enhance the regenerative and anti-fibrotic properties of the exosomes compared to conventional UC-MSC-derived exosomes. The therapy is designed to promote endometrial regeneration, reduce fibrosis, and restore endometrial thickness in women with thin endometrium, often secondary to intrauterine adhesions. It is administered via hysteroscopically guided subendometrial injection during the proliferative phase of the menstrual cycle.
