Overview

A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of mechlorethamine (nitrogen mustard), methotrexate, and procarbazine. This combination has been studied in various cancer treatments, particularly as a modification of the MOPP regimen (which typically includes mechlorethamine, vincristine, procarbazine, and prednisone) for Hodgkin lymphoma. It has also been investigated for non-small cell lung cancer and pediatric brain tumors, though with limited efficacy in some contexts. The regimen works through multiple mechanisms: mechlorethamine as an alkylating agent that cross-links DNA, methotrexate as an antimetabolite that inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, and procarbazine as an alkylating agent with additional properties.
