Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MEGF0444A (parsatuzumab) + bevacizumab is an investigational combination therapy comprising two monoclonal antibodies: MEGF0444A (also known as parsatuzumab), a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting EGFL7, and bevacizumab, an anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody. MEGF0444A blocks the interaction of EGFL7 with endothelial cells, impairing angiogenesis, while bevacizumab neutralizes VEGF-A, inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and growth. This combination has been evaluated in phase II clinical trials for metastatic colorectal cancer and advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer, often in combination with chemotherapy regimens (e.g., mFOLFOX-6 or carboplatin/paclitaxel)[1][2][3][4][5][7].
