A combination therapy consisting of a **MEK inhibitor** (such as trametinib or AZD6244/selumetinib) and a **PD-L1 inhibitor** (monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1). This dual approach seeks to both directly inhibit the MAPK/ERK pathway in tumor cells and relieve immune suppression by blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint axis. MEK inhibition can increase PD-L1 expression and potentially sensitize tumors to immunotherapy, while PD-L1 inhibitor restores anti-tumor activity of T lymphocytes, leading to enhanced tumor regression.
