Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Miladean is a fixed-dose combination of melatonin and memantine developed by Valenta Pharmaceuticals. It is designed to address cognitive and behavioral impairments by combining the neuroprotective and NMDA receptor-antagonizing properties of memantine with the sleep-regulating and antioxidant effects of melatonin. The drug is typically administered sublingually. Clinical studies have explored its efficacy in children and adolescents with hyperkinetic conduct disorder, schizotypal disorder, and schizophrenia, showing improvements in attention, hyperactivity-impulsivity, and sleep quality. It is approved in certain regions for CNS disorders and dementia risk factors.
