MEM.PD361 (also known as MEM-288) is an investigational oncolytic virus developed by Memgen. It is a chimeric adenovirus (Ad5/3) engineered to express two potent immune-modulators: human CD40 ligand (CD40L) and interferon-alpha 2b (IFNα2b). The virus is designed for intratumoral administration, where it selectively replicates in cancer cells, causing lysis and releasing tumor antigens. Simultaneously, the expression of CD40L and IFNα2b works to activate dendritic cells and promote a robust systemic anti-tumor T-cell response, potentially turning "cold" tumors "hot." It is primarily being evaluated for the treatment of solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and melanoma.
