Overview

MEM-288 + docetaxel is an investigational combination regimen comprised of MEM-288, a novel dual-transgene armed oncolytic adenovirus engineered to express interferon-beta (IFNβ) and a membrane-stable CD40 ligand (MEM40), together with docetaxel, a well-established cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agent. MEM-288 selectively infects and lyses tumor cells, stimulates antitumor immune responses by activating T cells and dendritic cells, and improves the immune microenvironment through local expression of IFNβ and CD40L. Docetaxel is a microtubule inhibitor that promotes cell death via mitotic arrest and apoptosis. This combination is being explored for synergistic antitumor efficacy in advanced cancers, potentially amplifying both direct oncolysis and immunogenic tumor cell death.
