Overview

MEM-288 + nivolumab is a combination therapy consisting of an oncolytic adenovirus (MEM-288) and an immune checkpoint inhibitor (nivolumab). MEM-288 is engineered to express interferon beta (IFNβ) and a membrane-stable version of CD40 ligand (MEM40), providing a triple mechanism of action: selective tumor cell destruction, immune stimulation via CD40 pathway activation, and antitumor effects of interferon. Nivolumab is a PD-1 inhibitor that prevents cancer cells from evading immune detection. The combination aims to generate synergistic antitumor immune responses, particularly in patients who have progressed on prior immunotherapy.
